By studying the players physical movements and targeted body heat zones adidas was able to build a new All Blacks jersey that is 45% lighter than previous versions. This allows players to have better mobility while being worn during the games. Jersey also includes bonded seams to reduce chafing and irritation. Lifting, catching, passing and setting up for tackle all involve the players extending their arms in front of their body rather than by their sides. With this in mind adidas added the design in the jersey to better support this body position by making it a three dimensional jersey.
